Austin has been a client of ours for about two years now (2015). He has Duchenne muscular dystrophy and his goal is to continue learning and independently play video games.
To help Austin be successful in the pursuit of his goal, we set him up with a tablet that mounts to his wheelchair and uses his wheelchair joystick as a mouse. Recently (8/2016), we modified a quadstick so that he could control video games independently.
As a way to give back to the community, Austin and his family became members of the Be Extraordinary Board of Directors (2015). Since then Austin has been testing the Quadstick for us to see how it works for gaming. We're happy to report (2/2017) that it has made a big difference and Austin has more access to games now than he has for years!
