The last few months have been some of the busiest ever for me. We have had some serious challenges and some wonderful successes. As I try to do my best, I realize something important. I can’t do anything on my own.

My wife Diane manages our home. I cook dinner and do the yard work (when I get to it), but she does everything that is important. In July we had some serious technical problems at InvoTek and we didn’t have the expertise or the money to solve them. I told a friend and colleague about our problems, and he told his friend at Missouri University of Science and Technology. His friend volunteered to help us with several days of consulting. After some significant preliminary work on his part, Barret and I went to Rolla and met the professor at his home. His expertise and teaching skills were exceptional, his hospitality was gracious, and his generosity overwhelming. He gave us thousands of dollars of help at a time when we couldn’t afford him – and he asked nothing in return.

For the last few months Be Extraordinary has been growing like crazy. Our Board of Directors is a group of experts who are talented, knowledgeable, and have huge hearts. Some of our board members drive over two hours just to come to a board meeting. One board member has volunteered many hours to help us raise awareness of Be-X. He has skills that I can’t even imagine. These people ask me “how can I help you?”, and when I look dumbfounded, they tell me what they’ll do.

Add to all of this the staff at InvoTek. I could not fill-in for a single person at InvoTek anymore – they all have skills that I can’t match. And then there is Shawn Adair and his artistic skills. I’m embarrassed to say that this is only a small sampling of all the help I receive.I sometimes hear from our clients that they wish they could do more without help. This is understandable given their physical abilities, but I have to wonder, how much can I do without help? The answer is almost nothing, and I wanted you to know how grateful I am to all of you -- and especially our clients -- for all the help you give me. I am the luckiest guy in the world, completely dependent upon you, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It is pure gift to live this life and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
